Twilight swelled up with indignation and Anger. "Have a foal? With Me? Jet wouldn't do, that...." Twilight looked towards the ground, she felt stupid, of course that is what Jet wanted to do, what else!

Buchephalus and Dahlia walked to the spring. The mare's eyes were filled with emotion, she couldn't believe he was beside her in one piece.

Flip looked back at her. "It's alright," he told her, as if he could read her thoughts. "You didn't know. But I know. All stallions want is my mares - at least most of the time. I've had to kill my own sons to keep control of my herd." He sighed. "It hurts, having to kill to save my own property. But I have to."

Twilight looked quickly into Flips face at his last few words and stopped. "Your property?" Twilight said under her breath. She remembered those words from her last owner. He always treated her like something he could just, own.

Flip's expression did not change. "This land belongs to me," he said. "The mares who join SkyHerd are under my protection. This is their land, too. If a stallion chooses to steal them from me, the land becomes his."

Flip did not answer, but instead he simply nodded. He sniffed the air. "We're getting close," he informed the three horses around him. "You'll have water soon."
