It could be contributed to the molt or a vitamin deficiency from the molt. How old is she and how long have you had the rir? Any way you can post a video?

I went to shoot a video an now she's not doing that. She was walking normally and eating away. ????? Weird.

No changes. We clean the coop daily. No new additions.

if she’s eating and drinking normally than that is good. There are a multitude of different things it could be, make sure she is getting a good amount of protein in her feed. Something could be bothering her, ear infection or it could be just the molt. Keep an eye on her and see if anyone is picking on her too.

I have a 6 year hen who had a hard molt this year and has been wonky, but she became very vulnerable during her molt and lost the top hen spot. So lots of things we don’t sometimes see, can cause a weird chicken reaction too.

What the heck? My RIR is going thru a major molt and she is walking like she's intoxicated. Is she off balanced from losing all those feathers? None of my chickens have ever done this.

What ended up happening? One of my quail hens seems to have the same symptoms.
