We have an 8 month old Buff Rock hybrid who has been looking different lately. Finally got some pics tonight. It looks like some of her feathers on the sides of her neck and near her comb have broken off close to her skin. She isn't bleeding though.

As a first time chicken mom, I don't know what molting looks like. I'm worried that she's being picked on by the others.. our maybe has bugs?? Either way, I want to help my little Yellowfoot!!

Please help!!

It looks like little pin feathers coming in. She may still get pecked at, but looks ok. I got mine in April and some are doing that too. My Buffs don't seem to look as bad as the others though.

We were told they didn't molt in their first year! Lol. Thanks for the advice. I can rest easier tonight!!
