how long been since you seperate her?. Give her time to "Heal" its not like molting and it will grow back. He broke the feathers off from mating. That hen must been his favorite, and cause her to loose alot of feathers! it will take a while for it to come back pretty again!

We took the rooster out for 4 months, and the only reason she is in with a rooster now is one of our "new" little hens is a rooster. If it would have been from mating I would think it would have been a slow process of losing feathers…her's was literally overnight/over a couple of days while they were molting.
 
I got 12 already laying chickens that are I think about 11 mo to a year now, and they had been with a roo before I got them so they are missing feathers etc. I've had them for two months. I did change their food a month ago, and the egg numbers were stabilizing pretty well between 7-9 eggs a day. Their production has dropped off rather dramatically the past 1-2 weeks, running 3-5 eggs a day though they are eating quite a bit and looking healthy. It's also July, so we have been running in the upper 80's high humidity.
I can't tell if it's the heat slowing them down or if they are about to molt or what. Suggestions to try that could tell me if something's off in say, the diet? They're fed soaked red wheat, oats, split peas, millet, boss, and fertrell pre-mix. They get various greens most days, like chard, or turnip leaves, a bit of salmon the other day... They seem healthy and active, though they haven't regrown their feathers much.
 
Is she still molting or is there something else wrong? I got her and her sister at the same time she's gotten a few feather back and her sister looks almost done molting but either she started later then her sister or what's goin on? This is my first molt of chickens

the back is from rooster mounting on her too much!
 
It looks like a bit of both - rooster over mating and molting. The molting - her head is blurry, but I think I see some pin feathers on her neck. That part is molting. Her back/wing area is over mating.

Roosters will have favorites that can be overmated. When this happens, you can cover her bare areas with a chicken saddle, or remove the rooster from the flock. She will not fully "heal" until she goes through her next molt.
