Thank you for the pictures! They look the same to me lol. When they are more feathered will I know better?

Here are the guesses I have gotten so far, between this thread and another.

Chick #1: Cloumbian Wyandotte (oooh I would love that they are pretty grown), Mottled Ancona, Mottle Java, Exchequer Leghorn

Chick #2: Partridge Rock

Chick #3: Black Australorp, Barred Rock, Black Jersey Giant

What are the odds that Atwoods (Ideal) would have these chicks. Could that help me narrow it down.

Either way, we know we are gonna want to keep #3. But it is hard to decide between 1 and 2. (Maybe we will keep all of them and give the EE chicks to him.)

There's quite a bit of difference between your #2 and the PR chick on the second page. I don't have any idea what it is, but I'll bet it's not a PR.

Why don't you check out what Ideal is offering this year.

That is most definantly a PR. Even the legs color of the Partridge chicks I've raised matches. #1 isn't a Columbian wyandotte, the line that separates the white and the black is too sharp, and most Columbian babies have a smokier grey look to them Rather than a dark black. The pattern is mottled, the breed is still unsure. The last is not a Barred rock, barred rock chicks have a very obvious white spot on the top of their heads

Chick 1 is undoubtedly a mottled something. Whether it be an Ancona, Java, or Exchequer Leghorn. . . I'd say wait til it matures.

Chick 2 I don't think is a Partridge Rock, wrong leg color. Even for a young chick, those legs are pretty dark.

Chick 3 is a Black Australorp.

Thank you!!

I will post some pictures in a few weeks when they get some feathers in.

I got better pictures of the brown chick and when I was holding her, I was thinking she was aweful fluffy, with muffs? So I asked on here if she might be an EE, and everyone on the thread agreed. So what will she look like grown if she is indeed an EE? Do they come in that color?

Here are the other pictures:

Definite EE. Wrong leg color for a Wyandotte too, and way too much fluff under the throat.

We got three more. The one that everyone on the other thread is saying is a black sex link, sure looks a lot like #3, we have a hard time telling them apart (the new chick has more black and has a blacker beak)
