A family friend is in labor at the moment, I think. Well she might have had her by now, she's a family friend that I dont enjoy too much, LOL. Good luck, I'll be praying that everything goes smoothly!

I just saw this now, but I will still keep your family in my thoughts! Congrats on your baby brother. I have one of those (he's 13 now and I'm 23

) and it was GREAT! My mom raised us by herself and since I'm the oldest, I took care of him a lot. Feed him his bottle and all that. We have a really close relationship now, him and I, and I can't wait to have a baby of my own!

I think it really nurtured my mothering instinct! lol.

Anyways, it will be great, you'll see!

Well, right after I posted my last post last night, mom called our friend to see if we could come over since mom was going to have to spend the night at the hospital. It turns out it was our friend's parents' anniversary and that they were at a hotel and their kids were at their grandma's. So, we all packed up and headed to the hospital together around 9:30 or 10:00, I can't remember which one. Anyway, we get to the hospital and we get a room and the nurse comes in and has mom and dad fill out paperwork and stuff like that. After that, the nurse put mom and the baby (which was still in mom's tummy) on a monitering thing where you could here the baby's heartbeat. It felt so good to hear his heartbeat so loud and strong! When they took mom's blood pressure, it was still really high so they gave her some medicine that brought her blood pressure down. The doctor said that since the medicine was working and that her blood pressure was going down, the baby didn't need to be born tonight. My little brother had already gone to sleep on a little bench on the side of the room, and after I heard that he wasn't going to be born tonight, I fell asleep. I don't know what happened while I was asleep, but around 1 am dad woke us up and said that the nurses didn't want us to be there since being there could make mom's blood pressure go up. It wasn't like we were running around being banshees or something! We were all just laying there asleep. Not even snoring or anything like that. Just laying there asleep. I really don't understand that. I was so sad because I didn't want to leave mom there at the hospital by herself and I started crying. Mom told me that it was all going to all be ok and she told me what they were going to do. Hearing that made me feel a bit better. So, at 2 in the morning, we had to drive 45 minutes to get back home. We all fell asleep so fast when we got back home! We were pretty much like this...

Anyway, we are just about to leave for the hospital to go get mom. Thank y'all so much for your thoughts and prayers and I'll keep y'all updated if you like as much as I can. Thanks again!
