Moms a step

This afternoon I watched a wonderful sight. The only chick born to one of my broodies, couldn’t jump from the coop to the steep below. It was too high. As I watched Maude, his mom, went over and talked to him. She then went up to the step and leaned against the coop. She told the chick to jump on her back and use her as a step … which he did. It was wonderful to watch. He then jumped down to the ground from that step. This chick is only a week old bayou can’t tell me they aren’t smart!!!!
