With the coming of the tasty fruits like blackberries and strawberries I thought this one You all might like. It's one my mom used and. It's a favorite of my husband's (I hope he'll soon be able to enjoy it again) He often would eat it for breakfast ..
Some people call it a cake top cobbler and others call it cup cobbler Tom just calls it good..

Pre heat oven to325 degrees
In a square cake pan place a stick of butter or margerine in the pan and place it in the oven to melt
While thats melting in a bowl place:
1cup all purpose flour
2 tsp of baking powde
1/2 tsp of salt
1 cup sugar1 egg
1 cup milk

mix these ingredient together and pour over the melted butter.

Now the fruit you can use fresh frozen or canned, your choice. of any fruit as long as there is 2 cups of it (You can substitute the juice or syrup from canned for part of the milk, I do it because I have restrictions of how muchdairy products I can have)

Distribute the fruit evenly over the batter and place in oven. the batter will rise up over the fruit as it bakes (neat huh?)
bake until the crust is golden brown and check it for doness the same as you would any cake.
it can be served warm or cold
enjoy
