My girls stopped laying for awhile for unknown reasons. Then all of the sudden they started, now they've stopped again. I can't figure out what's going on. It's strange to me that they all do the same thing as far as laying goes. Could it be stress from the ??!!?? raccoons that try to get into their coop at night? Thanks!

Yes, it could have to do with raccoons trying to get in. Have you thought about electric fence around coop?

It could also be the weather change. Here in Ct it got cold for almost 2 weeks laying slowed down and now it's 91 again and the girls are laying like crazy in the hot weather.

I would say yes that could be the cause. Do you free range. There might also be a hidden nest somewhere. All it takes is 1 to lay where they aren't supposed to and then they all do. If you have a raccoon getting the hidden eggs you won't see them
