After I read what you said on another thread, I figured you might not be real talkative today. But if you want to talk, you know how to reach me.

I love the idea of a happiness group. That does sound good. I had forgotten that you mentioned that earlier on.

I've already moaned to you before... I need to wait a bit before I do it again or I'll feel like one of those sorts of people

Thanks for the offer. I need to leave byc or I'm gonna say something somewhere that will get me in trouble. I'm in a MOOD.

I had an idea but after reading Rainplace's I am not so sure.

My thought was just try something new. It could be a new food, meeting a new person, planting a new plant..............
Trying to expand the ol' comfort circle. Like I said just an idea.

Yes. I get so stuck in a rut and have a horible fear of the unknown effect unless I pay very close attention. Try something new sounds good, and I think fits very well into the idea of happiness project.

When I first latched onto the 29 days of giving idea, I was wanting to change my habits... thinking habits. Giving seemed, at the time, to be an easy place to start... lol.

I'm open to anything where there's a possibility to stretch a bit... to change habits.

I like the idea of having a new thread every month to start fresh and to encourage new participants to join.

I also like the ideas of themes/focus also.

I would love to have a theme where we get to focus on giving to ourselves

No cost gifts... Love it!

Trying something new... Love it!

A change a habit theme... something small though and could be different for everyone?

Do something for others in the group theme... like make a card and send it?

We could do some shorter themes in between month long themes?

comments? more ideas?

I am in for any of those mentioned. I am also looking for something to help to keep me focused. I am limited in my exposure to new things because I am limited to my exposure to people except through this medium. So any diversion or tool to help me to focus on something outside of myself is particularly of use to me. My feeling is that almost any theme can be adapted for each individual, and is limited only by your own imagination.

I was an art major for several years. Any of you who have taken an art class can relate to the help that an open studio is to creativity. I feel that this monthly focus can be like that. As each of us relates back our experiences, we allow everyone else the opportunity to stretch themselves to new ideas. So anything that gives me exposure to new things, is something I am in for.

I know it helps to have a facilitator. Donna, if you want to do that let us know. That is not a good role for me. Maybe once it was, but it would put too much pressure on me now. So, if Donna doesn't want it all the time, I think it should be something that either rotates, or we can just leave that open to when someone feels like stepping up. What do you think?

I like the idea of different themes now that I understand it. Different people have different ideas which does help everyone else increase their knowlegde. I hope to broaden my comfort zone doing this and I'm sure that will happen to everyone.

I'm not sure what a facilitator does but am willing to help out however I can to keep this going. I do think we've hit on a good idea to help us share with others, feel good about ourselves and pass on this message to others that this is a good thing to do.

By sharing our good times and bad times, triumphs and doubts, we will be helping others by showing them that you don't have to be perfect. Trying is the most important thing because the only way you fail is if you don't try. Trying and failing is not really failure, just another lesson on the road of life and another step towards being a success.
