Monthly Grocery Budget.

I love having meat cooked and ready to go. It makes things so much easier! did more ground beef today. Made a batch of sliders, several bags of Mexican seasoned beef, had beef for nachos for lunch, two batches of savory beef with mushrooms and onions, and will have veggie beef soup for dinner tonight. I still have one package in the fridge, plus all the chicken I bought

.... I wish we had a fire place and other ways to heat the house at night besides just the central air unit. Oh and i spent 290 dollars between heb and tractor supply so far i under budget woot (not counting the meat atocking we did which was 300 by itself)

I'm so thankful for our woodstove and that my Honey loves to cut firewood. We often let the fire die out at night and it gets down in the 50s in the house at night. Again, thankfully it's a small house and a good wood stove so it doesn't take long (usually) to heat it back up to a liveable temp.

I'm off for a smaller shopping trip now. I thought I had everything for dinners this week, but I forgot The Locusts would be home on Monday. There went a lot of my nacho/mexican bar fixings, so I need to resupply for tonight. We've also gone through bread faster than I'd thought, so hitting the bread store also.

I wish before spring we are getting window screens so we can save on nice cool days. Today woukd be aawesome to have them its a high of 68 low gets in the 40-30s at night

so yeah.

Bread store $15
Wal-Mart 68.32

total of 859.56. I think I'll be fine this month. The menu planning helps so much!

Week's menu----

BBQ beef sammiches, carrots, salad
chicken pot pie/creamed chicken with veggies
taco salad
Pork, probably chops with mashed taters and green bean casserole.
Peanut chicken, I found a recipe I'd saved a while back that looks good. With noodles and stir fry veggies.
Chicken fried steak, fried taters, gravy. I'm not sure a meal like that should be spoiled with a vegetable

except the onions that get fried with the taters.
Fish tacos.

I'm craving a lemon blueberry cake, so that may get made this week for desserts. I'm going to do a pudding pie with graham cracker crust tonight, if the pack of graham crackers I hid didn't get found and devoured. Never made muffins last week, but we had a smoked turkey and tons of sammiches so didn't really need snacks.
