Just got home and settled. DH bought some Blue Ameracanas, They are supposed to be pure we will see. He also couldnt pass up the white crested blue polish he bought all she had for our daughter who is in love. Wasn't a bad day, I didnt think it would be as busy since it was Palm Sunday but there were quite a few buyers. See everyone next month.

featherbaby, just wanted you to know that Lighting is doing good. Right now he is babysitting 2 millie Cochins and a Silkie for me, hehe. I've been giving him some mealworms as he keeps begging for some treats.. what a spoiled little boy!

Hi Vickie,

Thanks so much for bringing Muffin for me. I bathed her last night and she was very cooperative (egads!). I blow dried her 90% and held her in my lap while she preened the last little bit. She's in a big tote in the kitchen and rewarded me with an egg this morning! How do I encourage her to go broody and hatch it? How long will it be viable if she doesn't sit on it right away? Should I put a couple of fake eggs in with it? Help....I've never done this before.

I've never been able to GET any chicken to go broody, but when they want to go, those SIlkies don't seem to care if there is just ONE egg in there.

Great seeing everyone. Seems like my broody momma hen has taken Chickenzoo's baby silkie chicks, this morning she seems to be talking to them.
