I completely understand featherbaby. My parents are the same age. We had to put my dad in the Georgia War Veterans home due to dementia/alzheimers (that was an ordeal in itself.) My mother is in fair health, but has her 'moments' when I have to takeover a situation and/or do odd jobs around her house ( she is a hard headed Irishwoman.) I hope my kids think of me when I'm that age!

Sandi and Alieda,
I never regretted one minute of the last 3 months helping take care of my dad. You are NEVER ready for the day it happens. God lays his hands on our shoulders and helps us along the way.

Look forward to seeing all of my peeps at the next one at Bent Creek. Let's hope the heat and humidity won't be as bad next month! Luv you all and thanks again for your kindness and words of encouragement. There's nothing like having a great group of people like BYC to help with some of the words you need to hear at the right time!!
