Moody Dove

Hi, my ringneck dove, Cas, is about 6 months old and lately he's been very moody. He pecks at my hands and when I walk around barefoot he'll get all fluffed up and lunge at me. When I hide my feet from him he'll spend like 5 minutes just stalking around, looking very angry, with his feathers fluffed up. Also, when he lunges at me he'll make this screeching noise.

Does anybody know what's the matter with him? Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It appears your Dove is a male and is reaching maturity, He thinks you are his hen. What he is doing is cooing, strutting and telling you he wants to have little doves. He needs a mate, so if you want little doves, find him a female dove. Good luck with the dove adventure.
