This is going to sound awful, but I have never looked. I just put the tube in and gave the medication. However, I have noticed the tube is always to one side of the tongue, never in the middle.

If you gave the liquid antibiotics for five days and had no issues you'll be fine! You can be sure I will make sure that tube is staying off to the side! It's hard because I'm sitting over his back, holding a wiggly head in my left hand and putting the tube in with my right hand. I wouldn't even be able to see down his throat.
3cc = 3ml. Ignore that 3cc per gallon, it won't treat Jack, lol. You're doing just fine with the tube, so don't change a thing. Do you prefill the tube with medication?Ok, I'm sorry to sound stupid, but cc and ml are the same right? So 3cc down the throat for 5 days? I just read 3cc in 1 gallon of water for 2 days? I'm so scared to over dose! As far as dosing, I put a 4 inch airline tube on the end of the syringe and hold open his beak and put the tube down and put the medication in. This is how I have been giving his antibiotics. Am I doing this wrong?
I have no idea where that 3cc/gallon info came from, but I can assure you that many people have lost birds thinking it was a correct dose. Safeguard (fenbendazole 100mg/ml) needs to be give at a much higher dose and for more days than most people recommend. Capillary worms and gapeworms are hard to treat.Kathy I can't thank you enough! There are so many answers on this website alone I was so confused! Most people said 3cc in a 1 gallon bucket of water for 3 days. How many times a year should I do this? Should I give it to Lucy as well? So, 3cc, Safeguard liquid goat wormer, 100mg/ml(cc) for 5 days, correct?
Yes, I prefill with the tube on. But I go a little over the dose to accommodate for the medication in the tube. Is that ok?
