More From my Hateful Neighbors

I disagree. They are gossiping, and being very unreasonable. I don't mind following the rules, obviously, but the method that these complainers are using is childish and hateful. Read the whole thread if you want to know more. I'm not being unreasonable and I will get my animals down to the required number. I just wish adults would act like adults.

Need I remind you that you are pregnant and DO NOT need this kind of stress!!!! Ugh! Crappy neighbors are such a pain. I wonder what is soooo wrong with their lives that they feel they need to make other people miserable. When we lived in an HOA community we had a Golf Cart Gestapo. Nosy nosy nosy.

LOL I can just see me playing the "Leave Me Alone Because I'm Pregnant" card

Really though, I also feel like there's some kind of gestopo. I guess this is trial by fire here. I really find human behavior so interesting, this might take the cake for groups I've known though.

I read the whole thread. Every single post. You can disagree with me (oh, you already did,

). I am saying what I think - and what most people would tell you outside of a bulletin board that encourages and supports having as many animals of as many different types possible - this is a place where a good many people are CONSTANTLY at war with the neighbors over multiple issues revolving around them doing whatever they please with their animals and having as many as they want, rules be hanged, everyone else's feelings be hanged.

You're not following the rules that everyone in the HOA is supposed to follow, what do you expect people to do?

Of course they're going to gossip. Basically just about everyone gossips. You're gossiping about them. The only thing that stops it is general anaesthetic. DOn't break the rules, and you won't be the subject of the gossip.

The HOA rule is 2 animals. Why not just - have two animals? You're breeding animals and actually have way over the allowed limit.

The bottom line is that people really do not like to see someone simply flaunting the rules they all agreed to live by when they came under the auspices of that homeowner's association. Like it or not, those are the rules when you live there. If you want to have a lot of animals move somewhere where it is allowed. Sorry I've always liked your posts very much and enjoyed them, but here I think you're dead wrong - and deliberately bringing your complaints to a group you know will side with you because a good many of them ALSO have animals that cause conflicts with the neighbors.

Hey I know you like to play devils advocate, and a lot of the times with these "My neighbors are being mean to me" threads I do the same. I don't like people complaining about their neighbors because most of the time I feel like they are in the wrong. And yes I am in the wrong with the amt of animals I have..and I don't dispute that. Clearly. But they are being rediculous. If you read the thread you would have seen that I plan to obey their rules. The two rabbits will be gone, I've already re-homed my cat because of the rules here.

My complaints aren't that they shouldn't pick on me, my complain is that their behavior is stupid. And this doesn't constitute gossip, especially since this is happening to me, not a second or third party. You have no idea where I live and no one else here does either. I'm not even naming names. I'm describing a scenario and behavior. So lets just agree to disagree on this one. Thanks

I dont think its going to matter what she does, they are going to find something to complain about. Its thier past time because they have nothing better to do. First, it was the cat. Now its the rabbits. Whats it going to be next? I still think the brownies are a good idea.
I forgot..............toilet paper thier trees.

Jamie and I understand what you are going through we had written approval from the Pres of the association to have goats for our FFA projects but when they changed elected someone else apparently the goats (2 on a nearly a whole acre) were causing so much stench you could smell it blocks away.... Oh did I mention there is a large cow pasture that lines the property right behind ours and also the whole neighboring street. Some people like to nit pick because they are unhappy or for whatever reason. I'm glad you are taking a mature stance on this. I hope you are able to move somewhere less stressful place and that you can avoid any blips on the HOA patrollers radar like your grass being 1/16th of an inch too high.

Thanks to both of you. Retaliating isn't my style, and it isn't the right thing to do either. And really it doesn't matter what others do with their animals, though I hope that the HOA would seek to equally.

You didn't even make it far enough to read post #3 in a 3 page thread before commenting? If you had read, you'd have seen the answer.

No I don't read anyone's comments other than the OP 99% of the time.

@trainer... If you HAVE to deal with it, I would start picking apart the other neighbors. Go out and measure grass with a ruler even... be that annoying. Certainly nearly everyone is breaking or has broke at least one of their rules. If retaliation isn't your thing, like you say... then I have no advice. You just have to have two or less animals. Period. Still, I strongly suggest picking everyone else apart. Fair is fair, right?
