More than one coop per run?

Anyone have 2 coops per run? My run is large enough for 8 chickens but my coop is only large enough for 4-5. Could I just add another smaller coop instead of building another larger one now? Would they go into separate coups or all huddle in one and fight? As of now they all do whatever the others do. If one goes inside, they all go inside. If one goes on the perch, they all perch. So would that be an issue with more chickens and two coops in one run?

Sure, great idea. If your one coop is at one end of the yard, put another one at the other.
Then, if you want, you can even put a wall to divide the yard in half. The birds will work
out where they want to sleep.
