well with these little ones that brings us to 6 ducks !! I am really hoping that I have a female in this mix somewhere. I am really hoping that Topknot and UNO are females ( oh heck who am i kidding I want them all to be females so I can keep them all )

I had Afflac and Frodoe as young babies but forgot how messy these guys can be !! boy what did I get myself into LOL

GothikRanchr - your black duck might be a cayuga? that is what the mother to these three is.

I take my ducklings out for a daily "swim" I have a shallow pan for feeding the horses, it is one of those black rubber ones. I add some warm water, and have them in a warm room. I put them in and watch them GO! Yesterday they were scooting across the the water so fast they shot out of the pan!

They spash and round, clean their bills, and shake their lil tail feathers.. . . it is adorable. Here is a really bad pic. The camera was running low on batteries.

In their brooder I have a dish that has a water reservoir, so they have enough water to drink and wash out theirs but not enough to try and climb in.
