Morel Mushroom and other hunters gather here!

Went scouting for Turkey and found a handfull of Morels...they were very tasty! Scouted again yesterday but found nothing. If the rattlesnakes werent so bad here I would suffice to say I would have loads more but a mushroom just aint worth it once the crawlers come out.

We did find a mint milk bottle form a local dairy that went out of business in 1915, one intact turtle shell and 13 golf balls. Silly crows think they are eggs

Nice morels and love the milk bottle and the turtle shell! But I'd be carefully because thats a box turtle and depending were you live it could be illegal to own but I'd like to have one for my collection. I have a couple pond slider shells.

Well, if they want to throw me in the pen for finding a shell, then more power to them When they do something about poachers, drug dealers, meth camps and the jackwads that litter all over the place, then they came bother me

It's just starting here!!! Found 6 greys 1 small old one and 5 decent size ones from 3 inches to 7 inches. It's going to be a great season if we get there first!

I don't have any proven grounds to search here and still don't know when is the right time...I have done a bit of looking about on the creek but haven't found a thing. I don't know if I missed it or whether I'm looking in the wrong spot.

Anyone nearby know what the scoop is in the KC area?

Just had a spike dinner

Been awhile since we had a morel dinner 2 days in a row. Got atleast another 2 dinners in the fridge

I turkey hunted all morning, in those hideous storms When a downpour would hit I would be on the move looking for Morels....good thing the country store was open because I didnt do to well feeding myself

The shrooms are up here,have found over 200 yellows and grays in the last 2 days.
