Haha if that's only half as big as she'll get, I'm glad I scooted her closer to the neighbors house
With the help of a very long broom of course!
The thing that freaked me out the most was that I walked past her about 5 times, and I only had about 2 feet available to clear her web with my head. I don't mind spiders, as long as they're no where near my face/hair! She's the second orb spider? garden spider? that I've seen so far around here. There's so many different types of spiders out here, green ones, yellow ones, giant black widow ones!
One day actually, I was watching two daddy long legs wrestle with a wasp that had gotten caught in a widow web. They were biting it, trying to wrap it but it was thrashing too much. Then all of a sudden the black widow zooooomed to the wasp bit it once and then zoooomed back to the corner. The wasp stopped moving immediately and I do believe the daddy long legs enjoyed their meal
Though I wondered if the widow venom in the wasp would have killed them, but I didn't stick around that long.
There's also these really neat jumping spiders with furry white teeth? around here. I love watching them hunt flies, it's almost surreal how quick they move!
Not sure if its true or not..
But i heard that daddy long-legs are one of the most venomous spiders...but that their mouth/fangs are too small to bite a human..
