Cindy at FoxfireFarmsLLC in N.Idaho has a lovely array of purebreds. I got Mosaic Egg or 2 in a generous array of colors and breeds...beyond my wish list - i just hope they hatch. Eggs all well-packed and came unbroken. January Special may still be on.
Good qns. Have water available, and dip beak if needed after a couple days. First couple days after hatch, not necessary. Even on an older bird - there are 2 tubes in throat - wrong one causes drowning...so pls don't force liquids. sounds like a stressful situation - without enough info. Later on, in an older chick who is too weak to drink - a bit of water in lower beak- gets her to swallow without drowning. Baby Chicks just don't need that much intervention. sorry if you lost them, while trying to help.
