Wait, before you get anything... is this like a farmpond, or a wee little ornamental garden pond in a plastic liner, or what?

The solution is different depending on the size/type of pond.

In a pond that small, I wouldn't think it wouldn't take long for the ducks to eat all the fish...unless there are plenty of hiding places for the fish. Goldfish are easy to see and will go quickly. IME darker fish last longer.
