Most Broody: Cochins or Silkies?

all my cochins have gone broody and were very sucessful at it -I have 3 broody silkies right now-all on tester eggs-BLRWs-OE's-split lav silkies-so Ill let you know how they do-as they have never hatched out eggs yet:-(

I only have Cochins so I have nothing to compare to. It seems to be such a strong instinct in them that my 3 mo. buff is mothering the 2 mo. old mottles I put with her.

I have 6 silkie hens that start and qiut , and my 2 cochen bamtom hens sit and hatch , but my 2 dutch legorn bantom girls take the prize for concistancy 1 of them is broody all the time and sometimes thay trade off .
 
Why not get a cross?

My sizzle, Dozer went broody 4 times in her first year of life. She was unbreakable.

I have way more chickens than I need, now.

I am not looking forward to spring
