Most Common Diseases in Flocks

Many of us lose our birds to disease. Some of us will have necropsies done or do them ourselves. I am wondering what the most common diseases in the average backyard flock are? Tell me, what are the most common diseases that you have seen in your flock, your friend's flocks, or here on BYC?

• One friend brought me two peafowl six months apart, both of those died from hardware disease. Each had swallowed something sharp that punctured their internal organs.
• Another brought me a hen that was eggbound & salpingitis.
• A neighbor lost two peafowl to blackhead.

The state vet reports numerous cases of Mycoplasma infections in chickens brought in for necropsy.

Coccidiosis and E coli are very common and both open the door for many diseases.

Yeah, that's common. Been there, done that lol.

I've only seen Coccidiosis, & worms, & some fatty liver disease. Too much corn, had to put my birds on a diet.

Just voting what I have seen is most common, & most I haven't experienced yet.

Only Coccidiosis, worms, & fatty liver I have seen in my birds. Not all of them. They get treatment if noticed.

at a guess, I'd say Cocci, Fowl Pox, then Marek's - but I'm just guessing.

I wouldn't recognize E Coli if it were present, but guessing occasional fermented feed and sometimes yogurt serve to buffer any E C incidents.
