Most complicated website Ive EVER been on

I agree, it is complicated. Things don't seem to be labeled to make sense to me. My suggestion is to get a paper and pencil and go across the top blue line and click on the items one by one and write down a description of what comes up and keep your list handy.

I always thought a site map would be nice.

By the way, I'm not a sixth grader or a hillbilly or a chicken but I worked in Silicon Valley for years.

I'll admit, I've participated on more "computer" user friendly forums, (E-Z board for example) but you can't beat the wonderful people that you'll find here and there is NO OTHER PLACE on the internet where you'll learn as much about chickens as you will learn here.

Hang around, you'll figure it out eventually, and then you'll be glad you did.

Really? I think this is a simple forum to navigate. Now you want to talk about not-user friendly, go play on gardenweb for a while. Now, I love gardenweb, but I despise the way their site is set up.

i am new here too. i must admit it is a bit clunky but certainly not daunting. i don't participate in any other boards but i figure things will begin to make more sense as time passes. i hope so..

This one was easy for me because I've spent years toodling in Braingle's many forums.

But, when I first started on a Forum Using site it was quite a change from the other sites I had been too.
A lot more scrolling for instance.

I LOVE the Home and End keys... Page Up and Down are good, but End takes you to the bottom immediately and Home to the top in one click!

I just now noticed that I can edit the number of posts/topics per page (in Profile Settings) and that's made things easier. In a topic with hundreds of posts, instead of reading 10, 25, etc and then having to choose the next page number I scroll through a hundred posts, THEN just hit page 2. Better for me, others prolly like the less posts per page, I think most use the default's since topics will say Pics Page 8, and it's only page 8 on certain settings... on my settings that's still page one (I think?)

Also, with SO many topics it can be tough to find just what you want so use that search bar... priceless!!

And I use Recent Posts (next to Profile on the top blue strip) a LOT!

You can Subscribe to a topic, and it emails you when a new post is made in it, OR if you don't want to do that with tons of topics you can go to your Profile and Click on Show All Posts and it will show all your posts, including the title of the topic, with a link to Go To Post so you can easily find topics you're interested in.

Those are a few little things that I use... maybe you'll like one... anywho, WELCOME!!
