A mean person is a mean person regardless of what title they have. My boyfriend loves my mother and father, his step - mother however is another story we moved across the country so he could be close to his dad and we soon realized that she was insane. She has done nothing but be insulting and rude and the first time I ever had dinner at their place she told me that I was a really evil person in a past life and that her soul was high on the astral plane.
She also said that having pets lowered your souls level and she can't work because she is to pure.

We called my mom that night and told her how much we loved her and missed her.

wow, there are some really weird ,mean MIL out there. Sorry all.
My MIL is awesome I love her like she was my mom.
But I have to say all the people in my life treat me with respect cause if they don't they are outa here. I don't put up with anyone I don't like.
And if I don't like you I tell you immediately I don't play games life is to short. When I was a child I was called precocious now they just say I'm a Biatch. That's fine with me.

Now that I think about it, you could interpret that as "evil vibes that contaminate the family," so not all that different from Nikki's.​
