My Mottled chicks are growing up!

She almost looks like a mottled self-blue instead of the normal mottled blue. Do the blue feathers get darker around her head or are they all the same light grey color?

My favorite blue Mottled hen is a bit light but she is gorgeous to me.

Took a video of my mottled babies, about 5 weeks old, two of them closer to 4 weeks. They are such cuties and the most friendly cochin chicks I have had yet. Mother was a blue mottled from Mandy Malin with a very calm Matt McCammon mottled rooster.

Just got my Mottled Cochin Bantams from "my pet chicken" 5 days ago they are getting bigger.

Some that came out of the hatcher this morning. I get about 3 batches a week out from my Mottled pens. I have been setting most of the eggs because when I ship them people can't seem to get them to hatch. I even hand delivered eggs to someone local and hers did poorly. I suppose it is meant for me to set and hatch these or let my hens hatch and raise them. I do not seem to have any trouble with them. I have scads of these growing up and hatching like mad! Good thing, too since I have a waiting list to fill when the weather cools off.

The pair I was getting from Jamie Matts I decided not to get this year. I figured I $100 for a pair wasn't worth it right now since my focuses are really big on the Mille Fleur Cochin project for next spring. I feel I can be a big contributor to the project and want to really work hard on it. I'll go from there on the pair from Jamie Matts though.
