I love the names. That is a good mix!

@MyPetNugget
Great pics. Can you tell your BOrps apart? My very first hen that showed my how much personality a chicken can have was a BOrp named BigMama. We lost her to our first predator attack about a year ago.

I have been raising chickens for 3 years now and I recently decided to breed. I have had a hard time deciding what breeds to stick with and what breeds to get rid of. I have done a lot of selling and buying this year so my flock has gone through a lot of changes this year. I have gotten rid of most of my hatchery stock, including my RIRs, BJG, LBL, and my Anconas.

Right now I have a WRock, BRock, SLW, LBrahma, and a RedStar that I don't plan to breed but can't get rid of! They just have so much personality.
The WRock spent a couple of weeks in the house and is tame as could be now.

The BRock is named Rebal Dottie (she is my profile pic) do to her apathy toward pecking order and always being where she shouldn't be!!!

I have a pair of Buff Brahmas that I will be breeding in the Spring. I just love Brahmas and Orpingtons and they are the main breeds that I have decided to stick with. I also have a Wheaten Ameraucana that was the only survivor of a disastrous hatch, and she hatched on my birthday! And I have three EE's that are just sweethearts. I also have 11 meat birds right now that are ready for processing next weekend. Plus I have a broody, Rebal Dottie, and some Lavender Orps in the incubator! I don't think I have a chicken problem at all!!!!

Midas, my Buff Brahma roo.

Scarlett the EE, and the bravest chicken ever, she took on a full grown hen at 5 weeks old and our dog a week later!!! I just love this bird!

Rocky the Wheaten Ameraucana and her constant companion mix breed JG, Apollo, in the background.

The whole flock yesterday, cleaning up the garden!
