My dad has one, but only because it was suppose to be a fruiting tree (I don't like people who mislabel trees... ) but I'm grafting the fruiting pear we have onto it.

When are neighbors bought some grown up land behind us, there were TONS of those coming up all over the place, they are really prickly and we had to constantly change flat tires on our vehicles.
