:lau :highfive:

I lost Roxy today. I was letting my flock free range for most of the day, then it started getting late and dark, and all my chickens came back to the coop except Roxy. I went around the yard calling her name but I still couldn't find her, so I recruited my mom and dad to help me look for her. (I would've recruited my sisters to, but they were trying to catch a vole.) Finally my mom found her, she was sitting next to a orange air tank for my dad's air compressor, she camouflaged right in. My mom said she wouldn't have found Roxy except she heard her clucking. I should've taken a picture, Roxy gave me a funny look like, "What's the search party for?" LOL

Lol how funny! Isn't it so scary though when you lose a chicken?!? Happened to me a couple times. Sure gets my heart beating!

Yes! :gig I've lost mine a few times to, one of the scariest times was when I left them in their covered run, then got home after dark and only three chickens were still in the run. I was worried the others had decided to roost in a tree or something, luckily they were in the coop.

Yup! I had a hen (my favorite of course) get attacked by a hawk once, we spent two hours looking for her and couldn't find her so we waited till she came out of hiding, turns out after I'd scared the hawk off she'd gone and hid under a freezer (like the ones in a supermarket) my dad had at the time :lau (I was like 7 at the time.)
