i used to have goats cheeky little rascals they are they eat the roses the tomatoes even the apricot tree but they are cute he got a hay bale for christmas but we had to give him away i hate the people across the road from my house they complain for everything but i will get more goats

We had a full grown boar nanny once that got out a hole the size of her head

No offense but I beg to differ. We had beef cows for several years and they can be sweet animals. And of course the calves are so cute.

I agree. our cows are really sweet, and affectionate.

Dan, I'm surprised your hens are not laying yet. mine that are the same age are all laying and I have some six month olds that are starting to lay. the daylight has never seemed to slow them down. with those combs I'd say that you will probably have eggs pretty soon, in less it is really cold or some thing, but that would be unlikely were you live.

No it's not cold it's about 70 during the day and 40 at night one of the Wyandottes squatted for me this morning

Hmm. I would think you would be getting eggs soon. It does take longer for some breeds though. mine are sexlinks, which start to lay really early. Do you have a rooster? My girls are friendly, but they never squat for me. I think they do that mostly when there is no rooster around.

No there's not a rooster she bought something like 30 all together 15 speckled Sussex (pullets) 10 gold laced Wyandottes (pullets) and 5 straight run Wyandottes she lost a lot in the chick stage and ended up with seven pullets how she did that I have no idea when most people end up with mostly roosters
