When I was thawing steaks in 140 - 150 degree water, it started to overflow. So I had to stick my hand in the water and get drain out. My hand is swelling and if it starts to blister, there is a chance I may have to go to the hospital.

I'm looking at the weather radar around that storm area. You and your chooks should be okay!
I am a worrier too, but I'm sure everyone would be worried in any kind of storm. We had a VERY bad storm hit the 12th. It created this creepy yellow light then went away into the darkness of night, all you could see was lightning, not knowing if you would be okay or not or if there was a tornado on the ground. I was afraid the air pressure drop would kill my quail. He is fine but went into a small daze at the time.

Okay. I just checked the radar app on my phone and we're in the red zone for bad weather. That would be scary! I'm glad your quail was alright.

I tried grilled elk today. It was yummy! It reminded me of venison.

Oh nice. I tried gator the other day. It's was like chicken but slightly chewier
