When I went out to feed the ducks yesterday when is was pouring out and I had no shoes on, I stepped on something that was in a puddle, but I didn't think much of it. I saw later that is was bleeding, so I just washed my feet off, and again, didn't think much of it. This morning I woke up with a REALLY sore foot, but once again, I didn't think much of it and continued with my usuall routine, of going out to care for the flock - barefoot. Later, I looked at my foot, because it was getting really sore, and I noticed it was infected. I cleaned it off really good, and showed my mom. She freaked out because I had red streaking climbing up my leg, coming from the puncture. We went to urgent care, and they gave me a tetanus shot, and prescribed antibiotics. I know, I'm horrible going barefoot outside, and I admit - it's stupid. :-/ It's kinda like bumble foot!

I once stepped on a piece of a stick and it went through my foot. It hurt so much. I was always afraid to step outside barefoot again.

I used to always go barefoot outside, but I got a tick on my foot once, so I don't go barefoot as often.
