I think she froze.

That happened three times with me. Was she stiff as a board? My favorite chick ( he was 5 months) died, and it looked like he froze. Sorry again and I hope you feel better!

She sprained her leg a while ago and has been sleeping in the nesting boxes (because she can't jump up on the bars) but I found her today on the floor and yes, she was very stiff.
I'm so sorry for your losses!

Is it possible she just .......died? I've had a couple hens that have been fine and then the next morning they're dead, and all stiffened up. I'm sorry you lost her.

had that happen to a commercial laying hen (you know the one they keep in chicken houses) she lived two years (we got her right before she started laying)
