I don't know if my American accent actually sounds American.....I don't think it does...

The main problem is Rs. British R's are more soft and in the back of the throat. American R's are hard and in the front of the mouth.....if that makes sense

Nope, it makes no sense.

I suppose it's where you come from. Over here there's tons of different British accents. It's probably the same over there in America.

Go find a youtube video of British English vs American English.

Yep we have a ton of different accents. If you put me, Dan and Sarah in a room together and asked us to say the same thing, each of us would sound different. Sarah and I might sound similar but Dan would sound completely different.
