I'm sorry!I've had several good friends walk out on my family and I and I understand the horrible feeling. I do know some alcoholics and they are usually depressed and mean. Like Bella said, you yourself are worth more than anything!
Your worth much much much more than alcohol!!!! I personally know an alcoholic, and I know that when they're under the influence of alcohol that their personalities totally change, and then they do and say stupid things they don't really mean.

(potophobia is fear of wine and such) Again, thank you all.You are not overreacting. You have every right to feel that way! I think you are worth much much much more than alcohol. You are not dumb. She used to stay in contact with us, then suddenly just stopped talking to us. Before then, we found out she was a drinker. I guess alc ohol means more than me. Yet again. Again and again, it keeps happening..

My parents didn't have it terribly (if at all?) and I guess mine isn't nearly as bad as some other kids. But still, I just wish I could have a smooth, clear, acne-free face.

You're not a loser, and you're definitely not weak. I know exactly how it is. Our Nan drinks.. a lot. *sigh* But, you know what? Their stupid mistakes don't make you a loser. They're just going to miss out on a ton of amazing things, like you, because they prefer drink. Drink is the loser.
