Same with words like bag, tag, rag, wagging, etcetera. I also always call carbonated beverages pop, never soda or Coke.


My accent is pretty similar to this, it's actually probably stronger because I'm not to far from the Canadian border.

Yeah, I've heard we talk like people from Minnesota, but really, it's anyone who lives by the border. I call soda, "pop" too.

Ah. :) Just for curiosity's sake, do you guys say "oofda" and "you betch ya"? Those are two phrases we Minnesotans are famous for, and I'm curious if it's just us who say them.
