He should. If a mean rooster will produce mean sons I don't see why a sweet rooster wouldn't produce sweet sons.
Delaware.What breed is he?
Yup. Though probably we'd eat most of the males from any hatches.Yeah, that would make sense.

I never put jelly on Marigold's and Egglantine's combs, last night. Because the weather didn't seem bad, I was stressed, everyone is sick, I was exhausted, I actually felt really horrible. So, I thought they'd be alright for another night. However, last night, we had our heaviest frost this year. It froze the waters, the ponds and all the mud. Now, I don't know if Marigold has frostbite. Egg looks fine. But, Marigold has a bit of grey on her comb. She has reoccurring fowl pox, so she has a few scabs on her comb. Could they have frozen? I don't even know. And I read somewhere about dirty coops and frostbite. I haven't cleaned the coop in a few days. I don't know if I'm worrying too much or not. I don't even know how to properly check for frostbite. I don't want them to die. I don't even know if ducks can get frostbite, and that worries me because one of my ducks is looking down and limping. I don't know what to do. I really hope I'm just worrying too much and that the frost wasn't as bad as it looked.
I really can't handle another of my angels dying. I can't do it. I don't want them to be sick.![]()
If either of my hens or ducks got frostbite, it might be the end for them. Because I wouldn't know how to treat them. I'd just end up watching them die. No help.
You know, I love them all so much, but Marigold was my first chicken, she made me fall in love with chickens, she has been around the longest, she is my cuddle baby, she is my best pet friend (alongside Dylan). If she died, I'd hate myself so much, it would tear me to pieces. I would cry so much. I don't want to go back there, but without her...![]()
I want them to be alright, but I don't know how to check or if I'm just overreacting. Our frosts might not even be all that bad. And, the chickens do have a fairly good coop. The guineas sleep above them, so that's got to be warm, right? Oh I don't know.![]()
Pretty!! I used to have bettas.....My mom and I killed them all.....(by accident
Amen sista!
