Me too.

I completely understand it if it's seriously hurt and they have to put it to sleep - I'm not going to let an animal suffer - but, if it can be healed up, then I won't let them put it to sleep.
I guess it's just a matter of waiting to see what the vet actually says. :/

Fine, just a little bummed out because of the pigeon :/

I'm going to wreck some of my old clothes with bleach using stencils and feathers and whatever other crud I can find

We took the pigeon and the first thing they said? Let's put it to sleep - without checking it.
We've left it there until the vet is available (at 12pm-ish). We've told them to not put it to sleep. If that can't do anything, we're better off taking care of it ourselves. We said we'll pay for bandages and medicine, if they do anything, even though it's supposed to be a free service. I swear, if they put it to sleep, I'll lose it. The only reason they have to put it to sleep is if it is really sick. But, it doesn't seem really sick. It's a bit thin and it's got a broken wing, but it's energetic and fighting.

The thing that annoys me beyond anything else is the fact that, if it was a pet, they would try to fix it - because they'd get paid or whatever.

I did something like that to my jeans; totally shredded them and scribbled on them with clothes markers. Also decorated a white shirt with the markers. XD

That's so sad that all they care about is money, instead of saving the life of an innocent animal.
