Cupcake is even more upset than me. She won't leave the bedroom. She's just laying there.
I've given her a bit of grass, just outside the bedroom, so she has to at least stretch to reach it.
I'll give her a hug later, and we can have a little squeaky chat. That'll make both of us feel better.

Yeah, she's also a guinea pig. She's my only guinea pig now. I used to have three, now it's just her. I can't even get her a friend.
I've already decided that I'm going to bring her into the house when I have a chance. That way, she can get a lot more attention from us. Then she won't be as lonely. :/

She definitely will be.
Before, Scruff was sort of kept with another guinea pig, named Patches. After Patches died, we brought Scruff into the house and he learned when the mealtimes were (because we'd give him leftover fruit and veg). And, he'd squeak like crazy whenever food was cooking. Then we brought two female guinea pigs (Cupcake and Precious), and they all lived together outside. But, now Scruff and Precious are gone.
Cupcake won't be the same as Scruff was, because she has a totally different personality, but hopefully she'll like the house.

I would love a pair of guinea pigs, how do they fare in British weather? Did you keep them in a hutch all year round?

I would recommend two girls. They're a little harder to tame, but they won't fight like boys tend to.
I remember when Patches took a chunk out of Scruff's back.
They can live in a hutch all year round. If you have a pair, they do pretty well in the cold (as long as they have enough hay, a decent bedroom, and as long as the hutch is raised about 2ft off the ground). They can snuggle together for more warmth. :3
If you live somewhere with heavy wind and/or heavy snow, it's best to keep the hutch in a shed or covered area though.

Well we're right on the coast so it does get very windy; but we're building a walled garden, so they could live there. I heard that guinea pigs shouldn't eat seeds, is that true?
