It's very beautiful, but I'm not sure you should be keeping a wild snake in captivity, especially in such a small box. Do you plan on releasing them?

It is not illegal to catch and keep a wild milk snakes, nor is it uncommon for people to catch hatchlings (which is what it is) and sell them. It's actually not a box, it's a small tank which is plenty big enough for the time being, it will likely go into a 10 gallon tank when it's a little bigger. I don't know, probably not unless we are unable to give it what it needs.

I don't wish to start an argument nor do I wish to sound arrogant. It does not currently appear to be unhappy and I can assure you it will receive the best care possible.

It may not be illegal, but I'm just wondering if it's ethical. The tank may not look that small, but compared to the size of the outdoors, it is. I'm not trying to argue either, and I know you'll take care of it, but I think the best place for it is out in the wild.
