Hey guys! Turns out last night I won the sportsmanship award for the whole goat division. So that was really nice! And I also got a plaque for getting first place in a miscellaneous project.

Haha that's cool. I only tried sharpening the extra soft and that's the one that kept breaking on me. (I'm debating between asking my mom for a few months subscription to SketchBox or a desk from IKEA for Christmas)
I'll have to ask my mom to throw that in her cart next time she orders from Amazon. I'd be very interested to hear if it works or not.

I did about 8 months of Sketchbox, and the majority of it was really great. But then there was the random pen or marker that I'll just never use. I have a whole set of graphite pencils that I haven't even opened from my last box.
Artsnacks (I think that's what it was called) seems cool, so if I ever did a subscription art thing again, I'd try that.

That sharpener looks good. Prismacolor pencils are softer anyway, so maybe the charcoal would work well in that.

Ok, interesting. Did you ever get a Sketchbox with a theme you weren't really into?

Oh yeah, I've heard of them. Maybe I'd try that instead.

Yeah, I've used sharpeners in the past that've just eaten up my Prismas.

(oops) Next time I get a 60% off coupon for the store I think I'll get that Prismacolor sharpener. (Also I tried sharpening the soft charcoal and it worked just fine in the sharpener that destroyed my extra soft one. So maybe I just have to be extra careful with that pencil or it's a dud. )
