Do any of you artsy-fartsy ( ) people know how to sharpen charcoal pencils without the lead breaking? I just bought a pack of charcoal pencils today for the first time and "attempted" to draw something, but I ended up wasting about a quarter of the pencil just trying to sharpen the dang thing.

My charcoal set came with a sharpener

My charcoal set came with a sharpener

I tried using an almost brand new sharpener from the exact same brand and the the lead kept breaking. :/

So far it's not to bad, but I've read worse.

I got an egg from Feathers today!!

This is the first egg I've gotten from my chickens in almost two months.

You can buy special sharpeners. Or you could use a pen-knife.

I have those exact ones as well they came with my last Sketchbox. I haven't tried sharpening those yet, though, so I don't know how they do

This is my favorite normal pencil sharpener. I should try it with my charcoal pencils and see how it does
