Mountain Peeps's Chat Thread...Continued!

Hello Sarah, I had a fairly good day. Might I ask why?
Hiya! If course,

That's good, can't say the same for me. What made it so good?

SOOO today was our homeschool community day so I got to see my friends. But before all that, I woke up to a rainy, overcast day, which as most of you know is my favorite weather. So all that put me in a good mood. But, before I walked out of my room, I glanced at my guinea pig's cage and thought to myself, "Geez, he is so messy and I do not want to clean his cage. *Sigh* I remember when my brother cleaned his cage for me one day as a surprise."

Then I was exhausted as we drove home and wasn't feeling super upbeat. As I put my stuff down in my room once we were home, my dad casually asked, "Have you seen your guinea pig yet?" I said no and helped my mom unload the rest of the car. Then I headed back to say "hi" to the pig. As I approached my room (which was still dark and only had light streaming in from the kitchen) I noticed that the bedding looked whiter than usual. Then, I turned on the light and gasped as I saw Cargo's cage was spotless. I put my hands over my mouth as I said "no way, no, NO..." and I turned my gaze to my bed where my brother was sitting!!!!!!

We had my favorite pizza for dinner but I couldn't eat much because I was just so happy. Then my brother and I chilled for a while this evening DURING which one of my best friends texted me out of the blue. (And he almost never texts; he's one of those bad texters.) So that made me crazy happy and we've been texting this evening about random, funny things.
Guys, I am just SO happy!!

We grow winter wheat, plus of course the normal routation crop. Cattle is important here too but since the market crashed we are struggling. Logging is struggling too, thankfully poultry and hogs are recovering. Not many people do meat goats or lamb ironically enough here, we personally do dairy goats which is Practically unheard of.

I see, good for y'all. Yeah, I keep hearing it's a good time to buy since the prices are so low but that's the only good thing. Yeah, I haven't seen many log trucks this year, they're usaully everywhere. Yep, hogs seem more abundant than in the past and 4-H has the pig squeal thing too so that also helps the market. interesting. Yeah, I personally know only one person who does dairy goats and my sister (county agent) said Auburn couldn't find ANYONE doing dairy goats when they were looking.
