Mouse or other rodent thread!

They are adorable! How old are they?
Thanks! The ones in the first few pics are two to three weeks old, the bigger chocolate one is a young adult (I don't quite know the exact age since I purchased that one hoping to darken the color of my other chocolates), the other (recessive yellow pied) is about 5 and a half weeks old, and the small chocolate and five ones are both three weeks old!

That’s awesome! I’d love to breed mice! How many do you currently own?

Every little guy or gal in here is adorable <3 I've had rats, mice, and hamsters. But I became allergic to them after a time. So after they passed, I've said no more. I do love looking at pics though~

“Colony”? Is that like a group of them?
How big are your colonies?
Yeah! My colonies vary in size. The smallest one is a trio of chocolates that I'll be splitting back into the other colonies once the females are pregnant. The largest colony I have is (thankfully) not a breeding colony. Its a colony of 30-40 bucks (it's hard to know exactly because I'm usually taking some bucks out or putting back in.) I also have a colony of non-pregnant does that has 15-20 does in it. I have two permanent colonies that I don't split unless it's to retire old bucks and does. Those colonies are my reverse siamese colony and my newly established dove colony (only two litters so far.) I also have a semi-permanent colony that I sometimes temporarily split apart. That colony is my checker mouse project! I'll tell you more about that when I gave pics since it's kind of hard to explain.

Wow! That’s a lot! Also, sounds really neat! How many mice do you have? If you know a number, I mean.
