Mouth injury to 8 week old chick

She is eating and drinking now. Thanks for the info on bruising. At first she wasn't. I think she will be just fine! Thanks to everyone for the help!!!!

She obviously bit the wrong thing and injured her mouth. The discharge was the natural clot that had formed that stopped the bleeding, like the clot that forms, when you have a tooth extracted. She appears to be healing and should be ok. I'd feed her soft mash for few days, until her mouth totally heals.
