I know it must only be me, but I keep inadvertedly hitting the 'Subscribe to this topic' link at the bottom left of the thread page instead of the 'Show recent posts' link that I really want.
Would it benefit anyone else or be a big problem to move the link to the center bottom or right bottom of the page?

That's exactly right. It's cool if you don't go on the site for a few days and want to follow a particular discussion.
But I'm a BYC addict (Hello, my name is mudhen..and I'm a BYChickaholic...

) and I check the site every morning with my cup of coffee...usually reading everyone's posts. Sometimes I'm on in the afternoons too. Oh, and if there's nothing worth watching on the TV at night.....

Wow... I thought everyone used "subscribe to topic"! I know I sure do!

Basically it shoots you an email when someone replies to the thread. With such a busy forum it is hard for everyone to keep up on their favorite topics, so this allows you to get a single quick email when someone repies. For example, here is the email I go for this thread (note that you will only get one email, not multiple like on ezboard... I hate that!):

TheBigWRanch has replied to the topic 'move 'subscribe to' link?' to which you are subscribed. There may be more new replies, but this is the only notification you will receive until you visit the board again.
