"Many have been kilt for calling it a skirt"...lol

It doesn't take much to make me break out the kleenex, but EVERY time I watch Steel Magnolias, the mothers rampage ("I WANNA KNOW WWWWHHHHHYYYYY??!!!?!?!?) in the cemetary makes me BAWL!

And, The Proposal made me cry when Betty White was helping Sandra Bullock get ready for the wedding and gave her the necklace, talking about how when grandparents die, they just hope that their grandchildren will remember them...holy cow! Betty White has always reminded me of my grandmother anyway, but I was hysterical when I watched that! My poor husband was just sitting there shaking his head at me!

City of Angels, amazing movie! I'm no bawl bag either, I deliverd two kids without a tear in my eyes but that movie gets me everytime!

Also "The Kingdom", I had an anxietey attack over that one, the beginning of the movie is my life and it was all blown to pieces, I could relate to it so it freaked me out.

Platoon always makes me cry at the end when William Dafoe is shot. The music and the photography is just heartbreaking.
Braveheart is also one that breaks my heart.
Schindler's List
Any movie that is based on real wars or bloody history really gets me, becuase it really happened. I know the characaters in Platoon are fiction, but it all really happened to too many soldiers for real!

I avoid sad movies at all cost but my mother dragged me to see "Marley and Me" - I should have known the movie would make me cry. I watched "jerk out of Carolina" years ago and will never watch it again - that movie left a lasting impression.

It's a given for me that if any sweet animal gets lost, hurt or dies in a movie, I'm gunna cry...
With that said, the one I absolutely can't watch anymore is "Lassie, come home". Then add 'Ol Yeller' and 'The Yearling'. And for the normal movies that make me cry, add 'As Good As It Gets', 'The Color Purple', and 'Forrest Gump' come to mind.

Even when I am driving and see a 'lump' in the road in the distance, my heart sinks to think that some child's pet may have gotten run over. I am so relieved when the 'lump' turns out to be a piece of a tire or a plastic bag or something. I know, I know....I'm wierd...

No, you're not, and you're not alone, either. I confess to having an almost uncontrollable urge to stop and move the animal to the side of the road so it won't be hurt anymore, even though I know it's already dead. I also mentally apologize to them and tell them they deserved a better life and a better death. Let's face it, some of us are just animal softies.
