I have 11 hens that are about 1 1/2 years of age (and one 3 month old chick being cared for by her mamma), they are currently in a rather small coop which is fine for now as they only go in to lay and sleep. With winter on it's way (I live in southern Minnesota) we would like to move them to our larger building (which has four 4 month old hens that have just started laying) living in it already. Any suggestions as to the least stressful way to go about this task. We do free range all the hens so the older ones already go into the new building during the day to check it out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
