Hey y'all I need help with this momma.
She has been on eggs for 3 days and well I need to move her i know I should of done it before hand but, life happens and I didn't
Here is what I have their coop is an horse stable we made it into their coop.
So hoping just to move the main nesting box she picked with her and blocking her off still in the coop with her own water and food.
That being said do I need to cover the top area I block off for her ect...
Or is there another option to go with

Much needed help soon.... like I will be starting in 30 mins

Here are pictures of what I have to work with she us the one on the bottom blue middle nest

Look around...see if you can find material to build a cage type area in that back far corner.

We have wire and I have some boards leftover for a project. I thinking about just going to town screwing intowalls with the wire. Or using the staple gun haha

As long as she's 100% broody, meaning she's laid no more eggs since starting to sit on the eggs, you probably can move her and have her stay as long as you block her in so she can't go back to the original nest. She will loudly complain, act psycho, and pace back and forth.

This will all be for your benefit, so leave her alone and get out of her sight. She should settle in within a couple hours.

If I tried to move any of my hens on eggs for only 3 days... they gonna pitch a fit to get back where they wanna be. Only time I am successful is once chicks have hatched (that night), I move her and chicks and she will stay with them until she can lead them where she wants to go *usually*.

Each hen is an individual. Any moving I tried would be during the night.

Good luck! :fl:jumpy:jumpy

Note my hens often still lay an egg for about 3 days after they start sitting.

Also, I would not block her into the box with her own water and food. Her metabolism is slowed down to help her not poo on the eggs she will run out quickly eat, drink, poo, scratch maybe a quick dirt bath. She needs that exercise. :pop

Move her to the corner and block it off would be ok? Do I unscrew her nest she is in and let her keep using it?
She has not laid eggs and plucked her feathers.
She is getting very mad ad the other ladies the pass two days she was ok.

Can you throw together something like this for that corner?

A piece of plywood leaned up against that back wall at a slant but screwed to the wall..with the wire on the front.
Make like a tent shaped/triangle area back there for her?
